Role Details
If you can spare a little time each week, you could join our allotment group. We’re looking for keen volunteers to get lots of lovely produce growing. It doesn’t matter whether you have experience or not; we would love you to get involved.
The allotment project intends to provide fresh fruit and vegetables for meals prepared in the centre. The work reduces during the winter but requires many hands during the planting, growing, and harvesting period.
Volunteers will help grow food, sow seeds, bring on plants, alongside weeding, watering, and harvesting.
Qualities and skills required:
- Enjoy being outside
- Gardening experience is helpful but not essential
- Patient and understanding
- Reliable
- Flexible
