Lumo trains supports The People's Kitchen

Last month, Newcastle-based train operator Lumo helped to fundraise and spread awareness of The People’s Kitchen.

News of their efforts was reported on by The Northern Echo and Chronicle Live.

Maggie Pavlou, one of our Trustees, reflected on Lumo’s much-appreciated support, saying:

“We’re thrilled that Lumo has chosen to celebrate its second birthday with a focus on our charity. We see every day how important People’s Kitchen is to the most vulnerable in Newcastle, and any support for our vital service is hugely appreciated.

“It was great to welcome the Lumo team to our facilities [last month], with Martijn [Managing Director of Lumo] getting his sleeves rolled up in our kitchen. We’d like to thank Lumo for choosing our charity as a partner for the last year and helping us drive change and raise awareness of homelessness throughout Newcastle and beyond.”
