Our 2021 Christmas Party

Here at The People’s Kitchen, we want to ensure all our lovely Friends have an enjoyable and merry Christmas. So, it was our great pleasure to host our annual Christmas party at the Alison Centre earlier this month.

Despite the chilly temperatures, our Friends had a brilliant evening as volunteers from all nights got together for a celebration.

There was delicious street food from Meat Stack and Pimp My Pig, while the fabulous entertainment was provided by the Sing United Community Choir, Northern Monkey Brass Band and Boy George tribute act ‘Boy Geordie’.

Our Friends were also delighted to see Newcastle United legend Shola Ameobi, who popped by for a chat, a bite to eat and to turn on our Christmas lights.

People’s Kitchen Trustee Maggie Pavlou said: “We’ve invited all of our friends tonight to celebrate Christmas and we hope it will help to bring them a sense of normality at this time of year.

“We’d like to thank all of the performers for entertaining us, Shola for taking time out to switch on our lights and the food vendors for donating their time and food for the benefit of others.”

We hope everyone who came to the Christmas party had a wonderful time and thank you to all our special guests for sparing their time.

From everyone at The People’s Kitchen – have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
